Jennifer Gode is a Stats & Analysis Director at ESPN

About

Jennifer joined ESPN in 2007, where she started as a temp staffer in a startup department. Since then, she has been promoted numerous times and is now a director in the Stats & Analysis Team. She oversees a team of 90+ that are responsible for the data management of all sports and stats across ESPN. This includes schedules, play-by-play, scores, stats, box scores, and so much more.

In Jennifer’s current role, she is responsible for long-term strategy, staff resources, and the overall growth and development of her team. Jennifer has been instrumental in the expansion of collegiate data coverage including the creation of pitch-by-pitch data for the NCAA Softball Tournament and increase in scores for soccer, volleyball, and more.

Jennifer graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2006 with a journalism degree and earned her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Quinnipiac in 2017. She’s an avid sports fan and long-time Minnesota Vikings fan (sadly). Jennifer is president of her town’s soccer club – Terryville Youth Soccer Club – and supports recreational and travel teams. She previously was co-chair of the Women@ESPN BERG for four years.

She resides in Terryville, CT with her two kids, husband, and dog.
