Shannon Piers is the Associate Manager of ESPN Wellness in the Human Resources department. She has been with ESPN for 12 years and is responsible for managing a team that delivers innovative world class wellness programs to employees. It is her and the wellness teams mission to drive employee wellbeing and energy for optimal organization and individual performance. She turned her lifelong passion for sports and fitness into her profession. She has experience in the strength and conditioning setting with collegiate athletes, with special populations, in the clinical setting for cardiac rehab, group exercise instruction, as well as exercise prescription through personal training in corporate fitness. Shannon holds a Master’s of Education in Sport Management from Springfield College and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Keene State College. Shannon also holds various certifications within the health & fitness industry.

Previous to joining the board in 2014, Shannon has been an active member of WICT since 2010. She has participated in the WICT Mentor Program as a mentor in 2013/2014 and was nominated for the Touchstone Award in 2013 and received the President Board Award in 2015. She was a mentee in the ESPN mentor program in 2010. Shannon is the proud recipient of the President’s Service Award for her volunteer efforts, the Disney HERO Award and the Citizen’s Life Saving Commendation Award.
